The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently browsing the Fernie two Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render companies to the community.

SASSA are going to be rendering services including new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer care enquiries, as well as the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency said it is alarmed with regards to the substantial amount of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The purpose of your Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to your substantial quantity of clients/beneficiaries to access here SASSA services.

“This is mainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no fully functional office committed to service the sassa area every day. The company level established for intervention experiences a substantial inflow of possible beneficiaries, which makes it complicated for your office status sassa to attend to all people who take a look at a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more sources to permit the servicing of all shoppers and maximize access to Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
